Yesterday the Holy See made this announcement:
Appointment of the Bishop of the Maronite Eparchy of Our Lady of the Martyrs of Lebanon in Mexico
The Holy Father has appointed the Reverend Father Milad Yaghi, M.L., until now pastor of Our Lady of the Cedars Parish in Houston, Texas (USA), as Eparchial Bishop of the Maronite Eparchy of Our Lady of the Martyrs of Lebanon in Mexico.
I add my own words to this announcement:
We congratulate the new Bishop-elect and pledge our support and prayers.
We also take this opportunity to thank Chorbishop Élie Mikhael, Apostolic Administrator for the Mexico Eparchy for the past two years, for his faithful service to the Maronites of Mexico. Once he has made a good transition for the new Bishop we will gladly welcome him back home to the Eparchy of Saint Maron.
