Dear Brother Priests, Deacons and Subdeacons, Consecrated Men and Women, Lay Faithful,
As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Eparchy of Saint Maron of Brooklyn, I would like to invite you to join me in a special weekend of prayer and thanksgiving on October 10 and 11, 2026.
I ask that, during the Divine Liturgy and the prayers of the faithful that weekend, we remember the Eparchy in a particular way. Let us give thanks to God for the many graces and blessings received throughout these sixty years, and entrust to Him the future of our Eparchy.
This day of prayer is also a meaningful sign of our unity, solidarity, and communion as one Maronite Church. Though we serve in different parishes and communities, we are united in one faith, one tradition, and one mission. Our common prayer is therefore an expression of a healthy ecclesiology and of our responsibility for one another as members of the same ecclesial family.
Let us pray for the Eparchy, for her Bishop, Clergy, Deacons, Subdeacons and Religious, and for all those who generously serve our communities. Let us also remember our volunteers, benefactors, and faithful, both living and deceased, whose prayers, sacrifices, and generosity have helped build and sustain our Church.
Above all, let us pray that the Lord may grant our Eparchy a blessed and fruitful future, with renewed faith, strong families, abundant vocations, generous service, and deeper communion among all our faithful.
I am grateful for your support and for joining me in making this weekend a true expression of our Maronite unity. May Saint Maron intercede for us and may the Lord continue to guide and bless His Church among us.
Prayer and Gratitude,
+ Gregory
