Cir 26-35 1,000 Rosaries for Vocations

Cir.26-35

Dear Brother Priests, Religious Men and Women, Deacons and Subdeacons, and Beloved Faithful,

As we approach the holy days of the Passion, our hearts turn to the night of the Mysteries, when our Lord Jesus Christ, in humility and love, knelt before His disciples and washed their feet. In that sacred moment, He entrusted to His Church the priesthood and the Holy Mysteries, so that His saving sacrifice may remain alive in the midst of His people until the end of time.

With a fatherly heart, I give thanks for our priests, who, through their vocation, continue the presence of Christ the Good Shepherd among us. Their “yes” is not only a ministry, but a gift of love offered daily for the life of the Church.

I invite all of you to enter into a deeper spirit of prayer and contemplation during this Holy Week. Let us thank the Lord for the grace of vocation, and ask Him to purify our hearts so that generous and holy vocations may be born among us. For vocation is one: a call to holiness, lived in different ways, through the priesthood, the consecrated religious life, the sacrament of marriage, and the generous offering of single life.

The prayer for vocations is not only the mission of priests and consecrated souls, but of the whole Church united in faith and hope.

For this reason, the Office of Vocations launches this year, during Holy Week—especially on Thursday of the Mysteries, Great Friday, and the Glorious Feast of the Resurrection—the monthly “1,000 Rosaries for Vocations” initiative. I invite each one of you to offer the Rosary every month for existing vocations and for those whom the Lord is calling in the silence of their hearts.

I kindly ask you to register by scanning the QR code on the attached flyer or by visiting the following link: https://forms.gle/1e8TFPAREw46icjx5.

Please also assist us in spreading this call to prayer by including the poster in your bulletins, social media, emails, and all forms of communication. A printed flyer has been mailed to you for this purpose.

With confidence in the Lord, and through the intercession of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Saint Maron, we believe that a true culture of prayer will grow among us and will bear fruits of holiness for the Church and for future generations.

Rev Manuel Rahmeh, Vocations director
