Dear Brother Priests, Deacons/Subdeacons, Consecrated Men & Women, Lay Faithful,
Human life is sacred from the first moment of conception to the moment of natural death, and that life is a gift from God, to be respected and protected. When faced with critical lifesaving decisions for ourselves and our loved ones the Church gives us both guidance and peace through her teachings on Catholic End of Life Care and Decisions.
Over the past several years 14 states including 5 in the Northeast and in the Eparchy of Saint Maron, have legalized Physician Assisted Suicide. This practice defies all that our respect for human life stands for. Fortunately, our Church has given us very clear guidance in making difficult moral and ethical end of life decisions in view of these legislative changes.
Please join a ZOOM meeting on Tuesday April 28 at 8:00pm as we discuss these important issues and guidelines. See attached flyer for details.
