Cir 26-18 February 2, 2026 Feast of the Presentation

Cir. 26-15

Dear Brother Priests, Deacons/Subdeacons, Consecrated Men and Women, Lay Faithful,

On this feast day of the Presentation of our Lord Jesus in the Temple, we also commemorate World Day of Consecrated Life, instituted in 1997 by Saint John Paul II. Today, in a special way, we remember and pray for all the consecrated men and women who generously dedicate their lives in service to God, and the building up of the Body of Christ.

In our Eparchy, we are blessed to have the Maronite Monks of Adoration in Petersham, MA and the Maronite Servants of Christ the Light in Dartmouth MA.

Please click here for a two-minute video from our Sisters, Mother Marla Marie, Sister Therese Maria and Sister Emily Mary, highlighting their charism and mission in our Eparchy. They are contemplative and apostolic sisters, who joyfully serve our parishes in diverse ways. We thank God for their “yes” and their vibrant ministries with our children, youth, young adults, women, families, the sick and needy.

For single young adult women (ages 18-39) who may be interested in exploring a vocation with the sisters, they are currently hosting an online discernment series and invite women to “come and see”. To learn more, contact the sisters at vocations@maroniteservants.org.

Let us keep our sisters and monks in prayer. I also ask that each of us offer a Holy Hour this week, and from now on, the first Monday of every month, for an increase in vocations to the priesthood, consecrated life, holy married life and the generous single life. We give thanks to the Lord for calling each of us to his life-giving presence in our Church

For our vocation prayer and for testimonies of a variety of vocations, please visit the Vocations Office: stmaron.org/office-of-vocations.

Thank you for your support and prayers.
