Nov. 17, 2024: The Announcement to Zechariah
The Season of Announcement is a commemoration of those events surrounding and culminating with the incarnation of Jesus. The season opens with the announcement to Zechariah that John, the Forerunner of Jesus, was to be born.

In the Catholic Church in the United States, National Vocation Awareness Week is celebrated November 3-9, 2024. It is an annual week-long dedicated to promote vocations to ordained ministry and consecrated life through prayer, invitation, education, and to also renew our prayers and support for those who are considering these vocations.
The Eparchy's 2024 Benefit Dinner brought together people from all over to support our Eparchy of Saint Maron of Brooklyn. Two lovely couples were honored for their hard work and continued service to our church and community. A portion of the proceeds of the dinner will go to help Lebanon.
The Office of Family and Sanctity of Life is hosting two upcoming events to begin the Eparchy wide Women of Grace initiative. And let us join the millions of Catholics nationally and dedicate our prayer in October for every life from conception until natural death. Our prayers make a difference!
The situation in Lebanon is getting worse each day. Almost every Catholic hospital, care facility, church, monastery, school and home is now a place of refuge for the displaced Christian and Muslim alike.
Pope Francis has called us to pray and fast in a special way on Monday October 7 for world peace.

To help us enter the Season of the Glorious Birth of Our Lord more deeply, the Couples Ministry of the Eparchy of St. Maron of Brooklyn, NY and Bishop Gregory Mansour intend to host a Zoom discussion on the “Announcements Leading to Christmas” on Tuesday, December 3rd from 8:00PM - 9:00PM.
Subdeacon Nadim Khalid and several choirs from throughout the Eparchy of Saint Maron have collaborated to publish examples of English Maronite Music on YouTube. The hymns were taken from the work of Fr Geoffrey Abdallah and his work with the inter eparchial music commission.

Our Eparchy has recently renewed our Office for Maronite Youth and Young Adults. Its mission is to provide support and resources to assist pastors and youth leaders in journeying with their teens and young adults, bringing them closer to Christ, and helping to form them as intentional disciples.
