Maronite Catholics and friends from the greater New York area and beyond will gather Thursday, October 3, 2019 at the New York Athletic Club for the Tenth Annual Benefit Dinner for the Eparchy of Saint Maron of Brooklyn.
The honorees at this year’s Benefit Dinner will be Tony Loubnan, Antoun Sehnaoui, and Salma Besheer Vahdat. Tony is being honored for many years of service to Saint Sharbel Parish in Somerset, NJ; Antoun, together with Cardinal Timothy Dolan, created the Shrine of Saint Sharbel at Saint Patrick Cathedral; and Salma served Our Lady of Lebanon Cathedral and the Brooklyn community for many years.
The evening will begin with a Cocktail Reception with drinks and hors d’oeuvres at 6:00pm, followed by Dinner at 7:30pm. Individual tickets are $300. Table sponsorships are available at $5,000, $10,000 and $15,000. Additional donations are encouraged.
The proceeds from the Benefit Dinner will be used to educate seminarians, support smaller parishes and missions, and assist retired priests. Bishop Gregory stated, “I invite everybody to join with us on October 3, in person or in spirit, and I ask every person to support this year’s Benefit Dinner to the extent they can.”
