Letter to Clergy Concerning Funds to Lebanon
Due to the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon and the desire to help those in need, the Eparchy (Diocese) of Saint Maron of Brooklyn is now in its third week of collections. We have received over $70,000.00. However, much more is needed. Catholic churches, schools, hospitals, monasteries, clinics, and other institutions have opened their doors to refugees and to those in need.
In order to reach more Americans willing to assist us in our efforts to help the Lebanese people, The Most Reverend Gregory J. Mansour, Bishop of the Eparchy of Saint Maron of Brooklyn, in cooperation with Bishop Robert Shaheen, and the Eparchy of Our Lady of Lebanon, announces today the launching of a new web site for the Humanitarian Appeal for Lebanon online at www.careforlebanon.com .
The website is sponsored by Bishops Mansour and Shaheen in cooperation with Patriarch Sfeir’s Charities, Caritas Liban, Catholic Schools of Lebanon, and The Children of Lebanon. Anyone who donates will have their gift acknowledged for tax purposes. All donations will be forwarded to the designated charity. No monies will be kept here in the United States. Thank you

Vigil for all Nascent Human Life
Dear Brother Priests:
The Holy Father has asked that every Diocese and every parish throughout the world offer prayers Saturday evening after Thanksgiving for the protection of human life in its very beginning in the womb.
Deacon Nicholas Mammi, Chorbishop Michael Thomas and I have adapted the suggested prayer services from the Holy See to our Maronite tradition. Attached in this email, please find our suggestions. You are free to adapt them further to your particular parish situation.
Prayer Service Option One (Vigil for all Nascent Human Life, Ramsho Order)
Prayer Service Option Two (Vigil for all Nascent Human Life, Benediction and Rosary Service)
I hope that each of our parishes, with the leadership of you as pastor, would take to heart this beautiful initiative of the Holy Father. If there are any questions, please feel free to contact me or Deacon Nicholas.
With gratitude for the gift of life, for our mothers who brought us to birth, and for all those who work to promote the cause of life, I remain
Yours in Christ,
+Gregory John Mansour
